The partnership between UBS and EPFL is a major effort to strengthen Switzerland as a leading international location for innovation. It recognizes the vital role of start-ups, especially in the polytechnic sector, as key drivers of innovation, sustainable solutions, and job creation. In addition to promoting innovation, UBS and EPFL are launching joint initiatives to support young entrepreneurs through events, educational programs, and the expansion of the EPFL Innovation Park. This expansion, named Ecotope, will foster the innovation ecosystem and provide an interactive, collaborative space for the EPFL community.
Moreover, the collaboration extends to the Enterprise for Society (E4S) initiative, aiming to accelerate sustainable and social transformation by linking applied research with established companies and startups. E4S and UBS plan to establish a sustainable business forum to discuss challenges, develop solutions, and achieve tangible positive impacts for industrial partners.
