Headquartered in Lausanne (canton of Vaud), SWISSto12, has been awarded a USD 10 million contract to supply state-of-the-art RF equipment to a major European aerospace OEM. This contract represents a significant milestone for the company, which specializes in innovative antenna systems and RF communications products for maritime, airborne and ground applications.
SWISSto12, which employs over 150 people in its U.S. and European offices, has established itself as a pioneer in the use of 3D printing technology for RF product applications. The company’s products are known for being lightweight, compact, and rugged, offering industry-leading performance ideal for harsh environments such as maritime. This latest contract introduces a new category of antenna that will enhance maritime safety by optimizing performance, throughput and coverage flexibility.
The company’s flagship product, HummingSat, is a small but powerful geostationary telecommunications satellite developed in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA) through its public-private partnership program. SWISSto12’s customer base includes prominent satellite operators such as Inmarsat and Intelsat, as well as industry giants such as Thales, Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman, to whom the company recently delivered three fully integrated RF antenna feed chains for a communications satellite application.
