The Tech4Trust program awarded Brightside AI as the top start-up in its season 5 finale, celebrating its exceptional contributions to digital trust and security.

The winners of season 5 of the Tech4Trust program were revealed at the awards ceremony held at the unlimitrust campus. The season finale of the Trust Valley acceleration program rewarded six cybersecurity and digital trust start-ups chosen from 12 finalists. Among them, three start-ups from Western Switzerland shone: Brightside AI took first place, iCure came second, and Ystorian won the Jury’s Coup de Coeur.

Vaud-based Brightside AI won the competition thanks to its pioneering advances in digital trust and security. This cybersecurity SaaS platform recently closed a USD 1 million deal with Social Links, enhancing its AI-driven human data search engine with real-world examples. Brightside AI’s solutions are particularly vital for SMEs in managing their external data risks and adhering to GDPR standards. The company’s platform and business dashboard assist administrators in assessing security positions and conducting targeted phishing tests.

Second place went to Geneva-based iCure, whose solution is revolutionizing the security of medical data and patient records. The Jury’s Prize was awarded to Ystorian, another Geneva-based start-up, providing comprehensive cybersecurity risk assessments for SMEs.

This year, the third prize, the social impact prize, and the hardware prize went to start-ups from Italy (TrueScreen), Taiwan (Numbers Protocol), and France (Akidaia).
